Prompt Distributor Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-03-12
Prompt Distributor is a Chrome extension that lets users enter one prompt, send it to user-selected AI chat websites, and view execution status plus the latest captured response in the extension UI.
This privacy policy describes what data the extension processes, how that data is used, where it is stored, and when it is sent to third parties.
Data We Process
- User-provided prompts, saved templates, and template variables.
- Extension state and diagnostics, including language preference, selected platforms, task state, execution status, and local logs.
- Selected AI website content, including the latest question and latest answer captured from the AI websites chosen by the user.
How We Use Data
- Store the user's settings and templates.
- Open or reuse tabs for the AI websites selected by the user.
- Input the user's prompt into those selected AI websites, trigger send actions, and display execution status plus the latest response in the side panel or full mode page.
- Support local diagnostics such as self-test, local logs, and failure export.
Where Data Is Stored
Prompt Distributor stores its settings, templates, task state, and diagnostic data locally in Chrome extension storage on the user's device.
The extension does not operate its own remote backend for storing prompts, answers, templates, or logs.
When Data Is Sent to Third Parties
When the user explicitly selects one or more AI websites and submits a prompt, the prompt is sent to those selected third-party AI websites so the requested feature can work.
Responses shown by those third-party AI websites may be read by the extension and displayed back to the user inside the extension UI.
The extension does not send prompts, answers, templates, or logs to the developer's own server.
Data Sharing
Prompt Distributor does not sell personal data, does not sell user data, does not transfer user data to data brokers, and does not use processed data to determine creditworthiness.
Prompt Distributor does not use processed data for advertising, profiling, or unrelated analytics.
Remote Code
Prompt Distributor does not load or execute remote code.
User Controls
